Dexter, the premier supplier and manufacturer of axles, doors, venting products and related components in the utility trailer, boat trailer, recreational vehicle, heavy duty and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for a Shipping Supervisor in our El Reno, OK facility, located near Weatherford, OK, Kingfisher, OK, Yukon, OK, Oklahoma City, OK, and Chickasha, OK.

Position Summary

The Shipping Supervisor position reports to the Plant Manager.

 

Responsibilities include: supervising and coordinating hourly employees to facilitate on-time and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, and maintaining proper staffing levels to maximize utilization and efficiency while minimizing overtime. Completing all DOT/Fleet scheduling and DOT requirements/reporting while ensuring compliance of all company quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

Position requires an Associate's Degree in Business or related discipline and 6 years supervisory/fleet experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills required, including the ability to produce clear written instructions and other business documents. Must be computer literate, have the ability to effectively supervise others and willing and capable of handling employee and customer problems in a fast-paced environment.
