Position Summary

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant implements and coordinates SOX compliance as well as supports Accounting Manager with periodic audits and reporting responsibilities.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinates/implements SOX compliance with direction from Global headquarters and Accounting Manager. Provides assistance to internal and external auditors related to periodic SOX audits.
  • Supports income tax filings and responsibilities with external tax preparer.
  • Consolidates balance sheet reconciliations by entity.
  • Organizes and facilitates balance sheet reviews.
  • Organizes and facilitates asset audits.
  • Supports external audits for quarterly/yearly audits.
  • Prepares annual, quarterly, and monthly reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Assists in the month end close process as required.
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or comparable discipline and at least 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, CPA preferred. Must have previous experience with SOX compliance and have worked with a publicly traded company. Detail oriented and able to work with all levels of the organization.
