This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager.
The Manufacturing Systems Specialist is responsible for designing, installing, monitoring, and developing systems affecting the manufacturing cycle of a product.
Specific responsibilities of the position include:
Position requires some travel; generally less than 10% overnight travel is required.
Position requires a BS degree in Engineering or a comparable discipline and 3-5 years of experience in performing same or similar job functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in PLC/MES or robot programming in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Candidates must be capable of working with individuals at all levels of a manufacturing organization. Must show good judgment in technical and non-technical areas, and must be able to make effective decisions in high pressure situations. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
