    Position Summary

    This role is a key position within the organization with a primary focus on developing and improving manufacturing processes. Through hands on approach this role will help work with the shop floor to ensure we meet our safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets through a continuous improvement approach. The essential duties and responsibilities are the following:

     

    • Design tools and equipment
    • Create, implement, and improve production processes
    • Develop written work instructions
    • Train group leaders and operators
    • Oversee the ECR/ECN process for the plant
    • Help drive quality and continuous improvement projects 

    Requirements

    Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands on experience designing/implementing equipment and processes, experience in Lean Philosophies such as as single piece flow and visual management. Candidate must have 5-7 years manufacturing engineering experience in a fast pace environment-automotive is a plus.
