The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Technician will support production operations, maintenance of existing equipment and the implementation of new machinery in order to drive continuous improvement in product quality, process efficiency and safety.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 + years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, must have a minimum of 5years related experience with single phase and three phase electrical and have a working knowledge of controllers.
The technician will be required to provide their own tools for mechanical and electrical repairs. Must have working knowledge and be skilled in 110, 220-240 volt testing, repair and installation. 480 volts experience is a plus, but not required.
Must possess the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and be capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems. Candidates must have a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, good work and attendance history, a safety-first attitude, good communication skills, and the flexibility to work overtime, including some weekends. Must have a can-do attitude combined with a high energy level.
