    Position Summary

    Responsibilities include: 

    • Analyzes and maintains standard cost system for new items and changes in existing items.
    • Preforms P& L reviews.
    • Analyzes data obtained and records results.
    • Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
    • Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
    • Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
    • Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports.
    • Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
    • Makes estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
    • Recommends cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
    • Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
    • Appraises and evaluates real property or equipment for sale, acquisition, or tax purposes.
    • Coordinates and maintains item level standard cost, router, material, labor and overhead.
    • Reconciles PPV on weekly and monthly basis, including compiling PPV reports and associated ledger movements.
    • Validates segment profitability on sales analysis.
    • Performs year-end roll and annual cost build (new standards and budget).
    • Revalued inventory when standard costs change.
    • Prepares analysis for cost rate setting with plant personnel and headquarters management.
    • Prepares monthly analysis of Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory for segment profit analysis.
    • Computes and records charges, refunds and cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
    • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers and account movements.
    • Reconciles report discrepancies and problems for cost of sales and inventory.
    • Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
    • Compiles cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
    • Increases understanding and utilization of TCM supported applications.
    • Works with material managers to standardize outside processing and physical inventory.
    • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.


    Position requires Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related discipline and at least 4 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be detail oriented, analytical, an effective verbal and written communicator, service oriented, confidential, have a strong understanding of general accounting and ability to walk transactions from supporting ledgers to general ledger.
