Position Summary

Works as part of a team to design, install, monitor and develop all systems affecting the manufacturing cycle of a product.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with design and installs, monitors, and develops systems affecting the manufacturing cycle of a product.
  • Provides PLC and robot support for automation equipment in the manufacturing process, including CNC machines, robots, conveyors, and other equipment
  • Contributes to the company’s continuous improvement efforts by performing value analyses
  • Liaises with personnel from other functions and units within the organization, ensuring adherence to internal and external requirements with regards to quality control and health and safety.
  • Industrial Electrical troubleshooting skills are required, including motor starting circuits, contactors, overloads and interlocks. Must be well-versed in using all modes of electrical multi-meters.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot ladder logic with Allen Bradley software.
  • Troubleshoots equipment and machinery at the manufacturing plants.
  • Installs equipment at the manufacturing plants.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of manufacturing control systems
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • Employs a systematic approach to methods, materials and technology across traditional departmental boundaries.
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires Associate Degree in Engineering, or a comparable discipline and at least 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Electrical background in 480V, 3 phase systems, AC/DC drives and Allen Bradley PLC and HMI.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary for this position.
  • Candidates must comply with all OSHA safety codes and standards.
