Position Summary

The positon will lead the product development activities of the integration of mechanical, electrical and controls engineering to support customer and innovation projects.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, or implement control circuits or algorithms for electromechanical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.
  • Development of advanced electronic systems for applications that integrates mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Design self-monitoring mechanical systems, such as monitor loading or condition of systems to detect and prevent failures.
  • Design, develop, or test new types of instrumentation, and intelligent sensors and interfaces
  • Research, select, or apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.
  • Implements the product design within the schedule and budget parameters.
  • Analyzes the risks of a new design or process and communicates results to Engineering Management.
  • Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design and/or provides expertise for electrical, electronic, and electromechanical technologies.
  • Develops and maintains procedures and processes that support product and product development technologies.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.
  • Participates in defining, planning, and testing of product & documents testing requirements.
  • Publish engineering reports documenting design details including patents or qualification test results.
  • Provide consultation or training on topics such as mechatronics or automated control.
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned




Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or a comparable discipline and at least 5 years related experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
