Position Summary

Manages regional sales team and oversees all sales activities within the assigned region.


  • Assists in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Participates in sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to identify new business opportunities.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales performance.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales engineers.
  • Meets with key customers, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures in region to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Promotes new products.
  • Continually develops strong customer relationships.
  • Continually identifies and pursues new business opportunities.
  • Offers guidance and training, in both sales and product knowledge to the account managers within the region.
  • Assists account managers with problems, questions, or customer issues as they arise on a day-to-day basis.
  • Submits a monthly commentary regarding the region to manager.
  • Attends and actively participates in monthly Cadence Calls and any other program or training assigned.
  • Works trade shows, open house events, and/or other shows requested by customers as needed.
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

Directly supervises Account Managers and Senior Account Managers with assigned region.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Requires Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing or a comparable discipline and at least 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
