Position Summary

Assists customers through the warranty process. Includes initiating and completing warranty claims, communicating expectations to customers, ordering warranty parts, prepare warranty documentation, and reviewing / adjusting warranty reimbursements before submitting for approval.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls related to warranty claims, product information, serial tag information, service locations and distributors.
  • Discuss warranty claim expectations with customers.
  • Obtain and record relevant information from customers to create an accurate warranty claim.
  • Troubleshoots axle or parts problems.
  • Enters, organizes, and maintains data information for all warranty related issues. Prepare and process warranty documentation according to company guidelines.
  • Assist customers in obtaining immediate mobile service / towing when broke down in an unsafe location.
  • Follow up with Dexter manufacturing facilities and distribution on parts orders to provide status updates to customers.
  • Submit claims quickly and efficiently.
  • Assists in gathering warranty database information for Quality or Engineering purposes.
  • Matches invoices with warranty claims.
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience, preferably in a service and/or warranty environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work in a high pace/high volume environment.
  • Able to work well with others and be part of a team, transition between responsibilities given.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy..
  • Proven ability to provide extraordinary customer service to the dealer/customer.
  • Knowledgeable in trailer axles and components helpful.
