Overview

Dexter has an immediate need for a Supply Chain Analyst.

 

The position would be ideally located in Cookeville, TN or Lisle, IL.  Other desirable locations include Springfield, MO and Mount Pleasant, TX.  Remote may also be an option.

 

The Supply Chain Analyst is a key resource within the Inventory Management team that supports strategy, drives product flow innovation, enables efficient inventory levels, and delivers continuous improvement measures for internal and external customers.

 

This position reports to Director of Supply Chain Analytics & Optimization and is an advocate for all supply chain related activities within their respective team.

 

This position is a key contributor to the success of the Supply Chain, driving the "Right Product, Right Place, Right Time" philosophy. The role seeks to maximize service while minimizing cost and delivering on metric performance and continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Analyst (SCA) will accomplish this by actively participating in cross functional team meetings and provides communication and tools regarding opportunities to continuously enhance the global supply chain. This requires partnering with Supply Planners to understand external foreign and domestic suppliers, internal manufacturing locations and various functional areas. Additionally, partnership with the Demand Planning team will enable a lens into forecasting and how best to leverage planning with initiatives around item velocity, inventory goals, exception reporting and customer centric measures like On-Time Delivery to both DC, Branches, and eternal customers.

 

Position Summary

 

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Examining workflow and utilizing analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and streamline business processes, and enhance supply chain processes.
  • Responsible for data mining and analysis to understand and illustrate best practices in product availability, network design, process development, and developing various logistic plans in order to enhance the distribution of goods
  • Leading the implementation of initiatives and tools that provide objective decision planning; leverage these tools to identify optimal flow strategies to best achieve the Company’s goals
  • Partnering with several cross functional teams to assist, influence, and recommend solutions that identify root cause analysis and improve process development
  • Managing improvement projects from start to finish
  • Managing stakeholder communications and change control requirements
  • Assisting in optimizing supply chains overall spend and variance including the drivers of the variance
  • Working individually and within groups, proactively develops procedures, processes, and tools (reporting) to support supply and demand planning functions

 

Requirements

 

Education Requirements:

  • BS Degree is preferred
  • HS Education required with direct relevant industry experience

 

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related supply chain experience and supply chain analytics, preferably in an Item intensive multi-channel environment and understanding of how inputs and/or actions affect its overall health
  • Must possess the strong ability at exception reporting with supply chain aptitude
  • Must possess expert level mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience with ERP system is required, experience with Microsoft D365 is desirable
  • Inventory Management & Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) experience is required
  • Must be experienced with WMS or Business Intelligence Tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau with exception reporting; Microsoft Power BI desirable and BI report creations preferred
  • Must possess advanced level Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and visualizations
  • Must also possess PowerPoint and Outlook skills
  • Must be organized critical thinker with ability to solve complex problems and create effective countermeasures
  • Ability to set appropriate targets as it relates to KPIs
  • Ability to perform complex data mining, analysis, and visualizations
  • Ability to map and improve processes
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Ability to build business cases and perform general financial analysis
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and business communication and presentation skills
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to work effectively within a team as a team player and serve as a model by participating in activities that involve cooperating and collaborating with others
  • Must possess strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with fluctuating priorities
  • Must put customers first and have demonstrated commitment to service leading to satisfaction for both internal and external customers
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to set own priorities in a timely manner
  • Must have a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work as needed to meet tight deadlines and at peak periods
