Position Summary

This role oversees the operations and performance of one or more functional areas. 

 

The Demand and Supply Planning Manager is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives as well as sets goals and objectives based for the assigned functional areas. 
  • Creating the overall direction of their team.
  • Implementing the strategy through strong communication that includes a plan of action, clear expectations, and accountability. 
  • Networking with senior internal and external personnel inside and outside their area of expertise.
  • Developing the demand plan and ensuring that forecasts and receipt plans are developed and executed to optimize the inventory availability and working capital productivity.
  • Collaborating with finance, merchandising, operations, Distribution Centers, and Branches to identify inventory trends and constraints.
  • Engaging in the development of supplier management programs to affect availability as well as total cost efficiencies.
  • Working with external and internal and partners to determine areas of risk or opportunity in the supply horizon.

     

This position is a key leader as well as contributor to the success of the Supply Chain, driving the "Right Product, Right Place, Right Time" philosophy. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's  degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field required and preferably an MBA or a Master’s in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in a demand, merchandise, capacity, or supply planning environment, preferably in a multi-channel environment.
  • Experience in leading and developing a multi-function team.
  • Experience with ERP system, Microsoft D365 desirable.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP is preferred.
