What You Will Do:

 

As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of logistics operations within our organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and timely transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize logistical processes and maintain relationships with vendors and clients to meet their logistical needs.

 

Position Summary

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize costs, and meet company objectives.

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Transportation Management: Coordinate transportation activities, including routing, scheduling, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery including all overseas shipments.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing transportation, including permits, licenses, and documentation requirements.

Cost Management: Monitor logistics expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements, negotiation, and vendor management. Claim all duty draw backs for the organization.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks to logistics operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions and minimize impact on operations.

Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Implement 3PL logistics process.

Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure alignment of logistics activities with business goals and customer requirements.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate the effectiveness of logistics operations.

Technology Utilization: Leverage logistics management software and technology solutions to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve visibility into logistics operations.

Requirements

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required.
    Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, with a track record of success in optimizing transportation, warehouse, and inventory processes is required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making required.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels required.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) required.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in logistics and transportation required.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to manage budgets and drive cost savings initiatives required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment required.
