Position Summary

The Maintenance and Tooling Technician provides daily support in the production of plastic injection molded parts through maintenance of machines and assembly/setup/changeover of mold tooling. Applies plastic injection molding process knowledge and hands-on mechanical expertise to monitor and troubleshoot processing issues and maintain tooling and equipment. 

  • Conduct Maintenance activities on monthly basis.
  • Monitor Maintenance on daily basis.
  • Set up tooling, materials, support equipment, etc. to support specific part/products in production area.
  • Inspect and lubricate tooling for daily production in all presses.
  • Deliver samples to quality department, after stable cycle is established, verify with quality that the parts are conforming.
  • Identify tooling issues and recommendations and report to management.
  • Clean and inspect tool following production run.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Needed Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in plastic injection molding or tool & die environment required, maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the different types of plastic resins (drying/processing temperatures) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of crane hoist
