Position Summary

 

Job Summary

Provide leadership and direction to hourly manufacturing employees including overseeing production, materials, equipment, and tooling to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule. This includes coordination of activities related to the company’s quality, safety, and production, including responsibility for financial performance of the facility.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures, and participating in plant safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Completing production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Supporting the development and deployment of the STOP program
  • Ensuring quality procedures are followed and achieving 100% on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Fulfilling supervisory duties such as interviewing, hiring, and training direct reports; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance yearly; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Performing other tasks, duties or special projects as directed

 

Requirements

Education Level

Associate's Degree preferred

 

Languages Required

English

 

Experience

6 years of supervisory experience in the industry

**An equivalent in combination of education and experience will be considered

Must be willing to work any shift

 

Knowledge

MS Office 365

Attention to detail

Prior supervisory skills

Problem solving skills

Good communication skiills (verbal, written)

Leadership skills
