Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Industrial Maintenance Manager at Rockwell American’s Leaf Spring Manufacturing plant in Seagoville, TX.  The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be expected to demonstrate a high commitment to employee safety and must be able to follow basic safety protocols. They will be part of the Maintenance team and work toward supporting production activities and special projects. Second Shift hours are 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM Mon – Thu and Fri. and weekends when required.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
  • Responsible for repairing equipment, fixtures, systems, and other equipment in the facility as required.
  • Must ensure that equipment and machines are operating safely and follow all safety regulations.
  • Responsible for performing Routine Preventative Maintenance (RPM).
  • Perform emergency machine and equipment repairs as needed.
  • Must be able to fabricate components for machinery repairs such as cutting and welding, as needed.
  • Support plant growth to include installing new equipment and provide support service such as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic lines.
  • Must log repairs into the maintenance software (E-Maintenance).
  • Responsible for completing maintenance request tickets.
  • Must wear required PPEs such as steel toe shoes, gloves, earplugs and safety glasses.
  • Responsible for basic housekeeping.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a team environment.
  • Must perform other duties as required or requested by management
  • Ability to read and demonstrate understanding of documents such as safety rules, work instructions, maintenance instructions, employee handbook, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with employees at all levels in a team environment.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Able to read and understand schematics is preferred.
  • Experience with metal processing equipment, in particularly to presses and heat-treating equipment, preferred.
  • Experience with Motorman Robotics, preferred.
  • Experience with E-Maintenance CMMS, preferred.
  • Able to utilize a caliper, micrometer and tape measure is preferred.
  • Able to lead a small team to accomplish tasks, as needed
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least (3) three years experience working with 3 phases high voltage systems.
  • Must have at least (3) three years experience working with mechanic presses and hydraulic equipment
