Dexter, the premier supplier and manufacturer of axles, doors, venting products and related components in the utility trailer, boat trailer, recreational vehicle, heavy duty and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for  Delivery Driver - Class A CDL in Fredrick, Colorado.

Position Summary

JOB DETAILS:

  • Deliver trailer and trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states to customers timely.
  • Must be willing and able to tarp loads as needed.
  • Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
  • Drive flatbed truck long distances.
  • Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
  • Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws.
  • Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
  • Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
  • Keep a log of activities.
  • Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class A CDL Required
  • Clean driving record
  • 1 year experience, including manual
  • Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
