Overview

Dexter, a premier manufacturer and distributor of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts and accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor at our distribution facility located in Odessa, TX.

Position Summary

  • Maintain facility safety policies and procedures for all employees.
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse and proper equipment operation.
  • Identify and resolve safety problems within the warehouse and with individual warehouse employees.
  • Establish operational procedures for warehouse.
  • Cross train employees between all warehouse job titles.
  • Monitor attendance and reassign warehouse duties as needed.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Address employee complaints and resolve problems maintaining a team environment and report to direct supervisor as needed.
  • Help complete warehouse task as needed to meet branch schedules. 
  • Build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 70lbs. Be able to complete forklift certification.

This position requires an Associate's Degree and at least 6 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Lean and continuous improvement experience a plus.  The candidate must be a team player, goal oriented, and be self-motivated. Computer experience is a must.
